My old system died mid-December 2025. I’m so glad I found Home Comfort! With cold weather and Christmas bearing down on us, Vernon stepped in. He sized the new system, even doing some retro-fit engineering, oversaw shipment, did the installation from A to Z, tested and followed up.

From the word “go” Vernon took a personal interest in the project. Even when we learned the equipment would not arrive until December 24, he didn’t blink. He and his colleague arrived early that day and worked their hearts out. As the project spilled into the evening, I had to insist that they go home, enjoy Christmas and return when they could. No surprise: they returned early the 26th for final hook up.

The phrase which keeps returning when I think about my experience with Home Comfort is “beyond the call of duty.” Putting in 12 hours on Christmas Eve was just the beginning. Vernon showed me all the ways I could save money from rebates (federal tax credit, Colorado Springs Utilities and through the state of Colorado). It all amounted to substantial (36% or so) savings. Vernon even registered with the state of Colorado so I could claim a $1,500 discount! He did not have to do that, but he did. He also petitioned Colorado Springs Utilities on my behalf. Unbelievable!

So many contractors treat the consumer like a stranger after the last check is issued. Vernon is the opposite. Even post installation, he remained and has remained in my corner. We had an annoying problem with the compressor overheating. Vernon stayed on it and wrestled it down to no problem whatsoever.

Yes, I’m glad I went with DX geothermal. The new system performs magnificently. But more than anything I appreciate the peace of mind working with Home Comfort affords. They have the expertise, the tools and an unwavering commitment to customer service that is as precious as it is rare in today’s world.
